Bartending

Work was easy these last three work days. Wednesday ended up being a really early night where I got off at 5:30pm. And over Thursday and Friday, I was full bartender and was let off at 8:30pm. It was fun finally getting that experience of full bartending and talking to people while I mix their drinks.

Yesterday, while I was at the beach, Mei, Noah and I saw these canoes with sails on them lined all along the Kaanapali beach in front of all the hotels. I went over to the quickshade where what looked like the headquarters of some event was set up. I found out that anyone could sign up to go on one of these canoes for a little trip out in the ocean in between the islands. So I signed myself up and got to go on the world champion Quicksilver canoe with the team! I got to sit in the third seat and paddle with them too! We were going so fast with the sail that it was only about a 30 minute trip. It was so much fun though. I got some pictures with my waterproof camera while I was with them. It will be a while until I get them developed because I haven't used all of the pictures from the camera yet. It's not like you guys get to see any pictures I take on here anyway.
Then Mei and I saw a movie at the Front St. Cinema last night. We were going to see Knocked Up but we got there too late so we saw Mr. Brooks instead. Man, was that a sick and twisted movie. It is about a serial killer that has multiple personalities but can hide it really easily. The main character was really well off and successful and the movie was really good. The comedian Dane Kook is in it too! I think Mei might have had nightmares from it last night.

I want to get a Disneyland pass soon, if I have enough money to get through everything else this summer. And I want to get it soon so mine will expire near the same time as Beth's pass. And if I am living only 20 minutes away again this year, it would be a wise investment. I think my new roomates have one too. But the reason why I am thinking about it is because Beth called me at 7am today and told me that she was going to stop by Disneyland and get a caramel apple. That is so rad that she can just stop by and enjoy a little Disneyland during her day.

Graduation is tonight and I believe that Mei and I are going. There is a high school on the road that goes to our house, up the mountian we live on. It sits at the top of this road. But I was wrong about the graduation parties. I guess that we won't be going to any today because the seniors have grad night tonight and the school prefers that they go to that so that they don't go drinking (and driving) instead. It's a wise choice on their part. I'm just bummed that I don't get to go to any traditional Hawaiian graduation celebrations.

The beach is next though so there's nothing that a day at the beach can't fix. I also find it strange that the more I go to the beach, the whiter I look. Only certain parts of my body are getting tan and others are not seeing the light of day (not THOSE places). I mean to say that places like the sides of my legs on the inside and outside are really white. I should find where a nude beach is.
