The day off yesterday was sooo nice! I went to the beach for a couple hours, went to the post office, then went to another beach near by. The second beach was called Baby Beach because you can walk in the water and keep walking for yards and yards and it's still so shallow. There were some reef rocks around though. The whole place is really layed back and calm. There is grass, tropical plants, and palm trees to lay under all along the stretch.
There is a new girl working with us who is a new Christian believer. She is from Orange County and came here to Maui to go to Bible college in Kihei. It's really crazy talking to her because she is 25 years old but she asks me for Biblical perspectives and advice. She totally looks like she could be my age or younger too. But it is great talking to her and this other girl who is from Kona and a Christian. It was us three and Ben, our first mate, on Monday. If we weren't in such a rush, we were going to pray before the people came. It's great to finally have that atmosphere back. I feel like this is why God brought me with these girls here in Hawaii.
I am currently eating some Portugese chili, rice with soy sauce, and an Aloha Maid Passion Orange drink. Mmmm.
Mei told me a lot about her family's past and why they are the way they are. She really opened up to me last night and I really respect her for that. Things here now mean a lot more than what I took them for.
